We encourage drought friendly landscaping, and encourage education about native plants amongst our staff and guests.

Well water in the park is pumped into a tank from aquifers, lakes 380 feet underground, and gravity-fed to each campsite. All guests are encouraged to use water conservation techniques and are required to use only biodegradable products in septic tanks and for washing dishes.

All fallen trees and branches become recycled firewood for guests. No outside firewood is allowed, due to pest infestations coming from outside wood, which could threaten the massive oaks on the property. Guests are educated about why it's so important to AVOID MOVING FIREWOOD.
