Thanksgiving Day Potluck
26 November 2009
Owners Sharon and Dimitri will furnish the turkey and ham! Last year, the Wandering Winnies enjoyed a cozy Thanksgiving feast in the Sacred Rocks Reserve Clubhouse.
Bring for the potluck:
- a side dish
- beverages
- plates
- utensils
“Thanksgiving is all about family and being grateful for the simple, good things in your life,” says Sharon Courmousis, who co-owns Sacred Rocks Reserve with husband Dimitri. “There’s no better place to connect with family than in nature, where there are few distractions,” she adds.
Thanksgiving weekend is a great time to experience cold weather camping, says Sharon, which many people apparently enjoy because of the opportunity to experience seasonal weather. “It’s a good excuse to get cozy by the campfire with a big mug of hot cocoa,” she says.
